  • Armenian Race and Cultural Background

Yes we all know that Armenians belong to an Aryan race , but are we really? I really want to know if we are really Aryan and the only thing really stopping us is the Turkish invasion when the Turkish invaded Armenia they bread with our women, so does that mean that us Armenians are really not pure white? And we all have some what of Turkish in us? So does that mean we were Aryan up in till 1915? Please somebody provide me with some answers and information!

Re: Armenian Race and Cultural Background

Armenians have not mixed with Turkish people. Armenians and Turks both lived in Anatolia but that's about how far as it goes. It would be incorrect to say that Armenians have mixed with Turks because Turks are Muslim. If a Turkish man were to marry an Armenian woman, she would then convert to Islam and become a Turk. It would also not be acceptable for an Armenian man to marry a Turkish woman because your are not alowed to convert to Christianity under the Quoran. Many Armenians and Greeks have mixed in Anatolia due to similiar customs and religion. This is especially true in cities as Bursa and Istambul.

I would say that Armenians are a closer match to Caucasian because Caucasian descibes people from the Caucus Mountains(where Armenia is situated).

        You don't make any sense.

Armenians didn't mix with turks nor assimilate any turkic features. Although its true in the other direction.

Armenians are a caucasian race in root stock. Throughout her history and conquests though, the Armenian nation had assimilated foreign elements, some of which were semitic:

        Case in point, Mutafoglou:

This is incorrect. Armenians have mixed with Turkish people even today we mix. Different situations such as raping could have happened from Armenians or Turks. During 1915 it is a very confusing part of history and even before that I'm sure some people of both groups married each other. In Islam the man is allowed to marry the woman and she does not have to convert. But the children have to be muslim

This Aryan ideology of Armenians is a theory. What are you talking about pure white? Armenians are mixed with people of the middle east, Asia, and Europe. Our country is in Asia in the middle of no where where many times we were conquered and under rule. Armenians and Turks both fall under the caucasian category!

Don't turks fall in the Anatolian category (originally central Asian)?

                    They are a hybrid.

The traffic of Armenian genes was one-way though, to turks -- not the other way around.
