Re: Armenian Race and Cultural Background

True, but there is a number of Turks that recognize the Armenian Genocide, so Armen isn't completely wrong...
I'm not talking about the general populace, I'm talking about the government. A few Turks recognising the genocide without the support of the government still amounts to injustice.

I guess... but it's not all the Turks' fault... right?

i do not agree with you that intermarriage with Turks is bad because they are just people and some of their ancestors even helped the Armenians during the genocide by sheltering them from the massacres. saying that Turks are bad people just because their ancestors killed ours mercilessly is wrong because they are not the ones who committed the atrocities. but i am still very angry at them. Turks are quiet and complacent people. If the Turkish government tells them that the genocide never happened they will agree even if individually they do not. if they agree that the genocide never occurred than it's like they are saying that it's ok that their country tortured our families and destroyed our nation. on the other hand, if they agree that there was a genocide and do not stand up for themselves and their views then it's like they are agreeing with the Turkish government and saying that it's ok that the genocide occurred to begin with or that they just do not care. The problem is that the Turkish government is super repressive and most people are afraid to stand up for themselves and their views but they have to realize that the Turkish government cannot jail or kill tons of its people because it will look bad in the eyes of the Europeans (and turkey really wants to join the EU [European Union]). So if the Turks that agree that the genocide did occur want to state their opinion they should do it now because it is the perfect time to do so. and if they do not say anything then they agree that there was no genocide and that the wholesale slaughter of our families is ok.

I hate how the Turkish government is so selfish, that they don't admit the genocide because they wanna join the EU! If Turkey joins the EU, I'm gonna get really pissed off! An idiotic country like Turkey doesn't deserve to join Europe!

what are you talking about? The europeans will not allow Turkey into the EU because Turkey will not admit that it committed the genocide and the europeans are preasuring them. America supports Turkey because they are good business and diplomatic partners so the US suppress armenian issues (which is bad because america plays a big role in this) but the US wants the Turks to join the EU so that the american greenback dollars value rises above that of the euro (which is how it was before europe became so prosperous).

I see that we have a (not so bright) *urkish impostor - i.e. icoN - with a clear agenda.
As skhara have suggested, most of the *urks have assimilated Armenians and others; but, any Armenian mixing with a *urk was expelled from the community.

P.S. By the way, of course, there is some Spanish blood and influence in Philippines; but, Filipinos do not consider themselves of Spanish descent.

Note: I have chosen to auto censor the words "*urk," "*urkish" or *urkic" because it is commonly perceived as unpleasant and offending, evokes unpleasant emotions and imagery and is pregnant with immoral and evil connotations
What if I find someone else when looking for you? My soul shivers as the idea invades my mind.

I agree. We've had many other *urkish visitors, pretending to be Armenians.

Under article 301, you could be jailed for just bringing it up
Can you give me one single name who was jailed because he said that he recognized armenian genocide.
