Interview with Giacomo Gorini, Italian Consul to Trabizon in 1915
Actually Armenians did not use that word up until they started their political compaigns in mid 60s in France.

That was my thought as well.
But I remember seeing a book on ebay a number of years ago, containing reminicances of that person. And translated into English. Can't remember anything else about it, except that I think it was from the 1950s. Maybe the article was taken from that book.
Can't say for sure!
But it could be the Armenian transalation of massacres into Genocide. I hope AZG newspaper researched it before publishing this piece!
"All truth passes through three stages:
First, it is ridiculed;
Second, it is violently opposed; and
Third, it is accepted as self-evident."
This thread illustrates the difference between your average Armenian and your average Turk. Even when something favors our position, we are capable of identifying an inconsistency and questioning it. Would the same happen in a Turkish forum? That's a rhetorical question.
Firstly I dont think Gavur is an average Armenian.
Secondly there are lots of other incosistencies, but it's related with perception. I always thought most of the problems are related with perception. But you have to understand us, there are lots of bombardment from Armenian side, there are even some things that(even ROland SUNY agrees) that average Turk also did genocide in 1915, that really devestates our perception even further.
We have writers/autors who fiercely critisizes TUrkish society's inconsistencies, like recently GAvur posted Elif Salaf's article on such inconsistencies accepted and not questioned by TUrkish soceities. I am wondering you guys have mainstream such writers or autors who are prominent among Armenians.
Well I personally dont think forum's of this kind on the net would ever be consistent. There would be consistent posters but the general mood be not consistent. Since you're away from Turkey for some 10+ years you dont know
whats going on in Turkish society right now, after the private TVs began appear, many discussion programs began to appear. And people are fiercly(and in my opinion stupidly) discusses things, this unfortunetly affects avarage person, and you could see its effect even on internet forums. Every day a new artificial topic is discussed either on tv or in printed media. So there're other reasons behind that.
Are you planning to come Turkey again sometime soon? Just look at things thru what I told you, you'll understand me..
