Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

No Kharpet of course i didn't mean forsaking Kemalism.. We have many reasons to reject joining the EU.. I told one of them. They're a christian club. Even their flag is a symbol of christianity. These guys became rich by stealing people's mony, killing them capturing their people for hundred years. Our ancestors were living in in anatolia peacefully for centuries... They ended this peaceful life. Come i told it, even my grandma was an armenian we were sons of the same culture, the same land these guys seperated us. I'm saying that these guys aren't reliable...

Also i think u r so wrong in putting Kemalism against Islam... Kemalism is based on Turkish nationality and humanity. You can see it in my signiture. And it's supporting everything which is beneficial for turkish nation...

Elendil read it again please did i support the ummet union or PanIslamism. As i said, it's a reason to not to join the EU for us.. Also if we should be in a union power, it should be the great Turan Union

Yes you are right I overreacted ..
Ofcourse if there can be a union between Turkic republics that would be the best . But I think forming such a parallalism between the present relations of people and goverments will take a long period of time. So EU seems to me as a good partner until that time comes, dont you think?

I have an idea give us western Armenia and we'll let you join your cousins in Asia!
Also can the lost sons of all the Armenian mothers ever be one again?
"All truth passes through three stages:
          First, it is ridiculed;
Second, it is violently opposed; and
Third, it is accepted as self-evident."

ahıskalı, I am quite certain Kemalism is a form of nationalism that does not support religion in politics. What I mean is, it is not politically savvy for Turkey to pass up an opportunity to form an alliance with Europe because of religious preferences. Also, the concept of ethics should not be a factor in Turkey's ascension to the EU, because every last nation on Earth has a history of ethical and civil disputes, and that includes Turkey as well as all the nations of Europe.

Either way, I think the E.U. is doomed. It's eventually going to filter down to perhaps a weak economic alliance and become less of a political influence than the U.N.

Yes you're right. But a partnership between Turkey and EU cannot live long. When the negotiations start they will order us what they want. They will say leave the Cyprus, recognize the genocide, maybe after these give the kurds a federation etc... But if we know where to stop, to say NO, there's no danger for us.. But i'm afraid of somebody who're blind to see these, fell in love with EU and don't know how to say no to these guys...

Kharpet, as i said before they will interfere our job more than now. I mean they're allways supporting Turkish enemies. They say the human rights. Come on.. They are supporting the leader of the terrorist PKK or Fehriye Erdal saying that her weapon was half automatic, so she is not terrorist. Our prime minister Mr.Erdoğan was put in the jail and he applied to the EU human rigths organisation or anything else i don't know it's full name But it didn't interest them. Come on why did we start o fight in 1900s?? Who lost after this?? Well both sides lost many people in this war. Today these countries are continueing to lose... Turkey is being isolated from many international organisations and also Armenia with a little population is losing because the borders are closed trade routes aren't being used.... Who is gaining from this problem?? Of course europeans they're playing with us....

                    I see your point, ahıskalı.

Even so, if Turkey was to turn down acceptance in the E.U., it would be very dangerous for them to ally with the rest of the Middle East (Iraq, Iran, Syria, etc.) because that would make them instant enemies of the West.

In terms of Armenia, Turkey's ascenscion into the E.U. is actually better for Armenia because of increased trade benefits and other rights. That's why Armenia supports Turkey's ascencion into the E.U.
