  • Can anyone help me find this book???

Hey I'm trying to find this book called 'My Grandmother'...

I don't know the author's name but she is a Muslim woman writing about her Armenian grandmother who was brought up as a Muslim because she was forced to marry a Muslim Turk as a result of the genocide. Sorry if that was a confusing sentence... anyway, does anyone know of this book? I read a review on it months ago but I just have no idea where to find it.

I hope someone can help me! Thanks heaps!

You know, I've been wanting to find that book for ever too. I don't think it's being sold in the US yet. Here is a thread I started about it a while ago:

Consider us your family then ...
If you wish, you can share her story too ...

And how did you know that she was an Armenian , did she tell you ? Or your parents did ?

my mother told me that when i was six or seven. i am from the east side of turkey, erzurum. my dad's parents are caucasus turks. my name "ahıskalı" comes from there i didn't see her. and my grandpa died when i was two. i would be honest, my father and his parents hates armenians. but i don't think like him. of course i am muslim and turk. and don't feel a little like an armenian but i feel sad when think of her.
