She just finished - and seemed to do well...waiting for the judges...what kind of (Turkish) name is Tupa Kaladamir (sp?) anyway? lol
Also BTW - we visited with some of our Turkish friends this last weekend and they keep askign when we will join them in Turkey...unfortunatly we have other (domestic/USA) plans for this summer...maybe next year (though we already have tentative plans for UK/France etc)...but one never knows...they spent New years in Turkey BTW and apparently got great weather and just missed a big storm with lots of snow...
Hm...why didn't they report the score of the Turkish gal? ...we'll just have to wait and see I guess....anyway she had a beautiful skate... -

It is probably Tugba, I havent watched it. Tugba means the name of a tree in heaven.

She had a great long program skate BTW - I mean it was really fantastic. She showed tremendous confidence and poise and very nice artistry - it was a joy (and IMIO it should have been scored higher!) - Still she did great...and they had a real nice piece on her and her family prior to her skate. She seems like a really nice girl. Good for her - I hope she gets the acolades she deserves back in Turkey (though she pretty much lives in Canada now...her English is quite good...better then most Canadians even - eh? lol)Comment

Well yes - after the two falls..was very gutsy and was done very well. If none of the top skaters had made mistakes I think the Russian Gals performance/program would have and should have taken the gold...and the Japanese gal deserved it with a beautiful and flawless performance....and did you see that little Georgian gal skate? - she was something (my prediction for gold in 2010!) - though she clearly tired out near the end (but aparently wasn't used to doing such a long program...)Originally posted by KharpertComment
