Will Armenia support Iran?

Yes, Armenia is not going to attack Iran for sure. In that regard, Armenia will try to stay out of such conflict together with/or apart from Russia, but that doesnt mean that Armenia would not support Iran since possible collapse of Iran is not desirable for various reasons. I believe that the possible assault on Iran is not yet determined though it might have been planned by now. I dont think that the US could include ground forces to such assault since they dont have enough of them. However, if they decide to initiate air-assaults on Iran, then those US soliders in Iraq will be subject to possible counter-assaults by Iran, and some 150 thousand units deployed in Iraq would not be enough if one wishes to confront a country like Iran. So, I am not sure as whether the US would prefer to attack Iran or not since the success of such assualt embodies too much strategic risks, and we can not be sure how the US values each risk involved.

I agree for the most part but any support for Iran by Armenia will be limited; theres not much they'll be able to provide. As much as Armenia and Azerbaijan hates each other, they'll both be f###ed up big time if the U.S. foolishly strikes at Iran in any capacity. Public sentiment in the U.S. is starting to move (albeit slowly) against Bush and his neo-con cronies.

i think armenia will be on the russian side but only politicaly.it will has no other support to iran.azerbaijan will be with usa and i know turkey wont be in that action against iran.

From the intial news regarding the Aliyev visit to Washington, Azerbaijan is reluctant to provide logistical help (bases) for a US attack on Iran but nothing is 100% certain. I think everyone in the region understands that Iran will be their neighborhood for the long haul and the US will eventually lose interest (which is what is going to happen in Iraq). Turkey will not support any action and neither will Russia. If Azerbaijan does cooperate with US and provide airstrips for a US attack (which I doubt they'll do), I wonder how that will effect Turkish/Azeri relations.

Yes, Armenian support for Iran will be limited, and it would not involve direct help to the USA.

The public of the USA is involved in other crucial problems such as the new illegal migrant laws, rise of Hispanic feelings, a weird project to build the largest getto walls on the Mexican borders, and so on. So, Iran could also be used as distraction to ease the tensions at home. Interestingly, the USA gets more marginal after each international confrontation, and she seems to take more risk than she used to.

In fact, I believe that Iran is not an enemy that one should confront when seeking dominion over others, but the options of the USA gets more and more risky as the time passes by. So, it is really unclear what will happen.

The U.S. is on a decline at the moment, and I personally think that with all the domestic problems the United States in facing in addition to George Bush's record-low 32% approval rating the Americans are now going to think twice before they go xxxxing up other nations. It took a lot of bungling to make Americans (or should i say, Neo-Conservatives) realize they are not invulnerable.

As the time goes by, I think the US will face more problems at home rather than abroad. So, I agree with your assertation.
