  • Love thy Neighbor

I still want to discuss Armenian-Jewish-Turkish relations. I, as a Jew, want the best for Armenians and Turks. How can we resolve this senseless dispute? How can we forgive each other? As the great Rabbi Yesua (Jesus) said, love thy neighbor...

Its time, my Armenians brothers, to look forward not back.

Note: why are my threads always getting shut down? Why cant I be allowed to speak here? Why is anti-Semitism continued to be tolerated here?

    Shalom

I come bearing gifts my Armenian brothersand sisters. See the article below. I am very happy that my beloved land of Hashem is a friend of the Armenian people. May G-d give you all that is good and may he destory evil without mercy.

Israeli Religious Leader Affirms Armenian Genocide

Chief Rabbi of Israel’s Ashkenazi Jews Yona Metzger has joined the growing number of that country’s leaders to affirm the Armenian Genocide. Metzger was in Armenia two weeks ago on invitation from Catholicos Karekin II of the Armenian Apostolic Church, as part of Jewish-Armenian inter-faith dialogue. Visiting the Armenian Genocide memorial outside Yerevan, Metzger said that “nobody can feel the pain of the Armenians more deeply than the Jews.” Metzger added that he “would definitely use the term genocide” when referring to the annihilation of Armenians in the Ottoman Empire.

The Israeli government has refused to acknowledge the Armenian Genocide as it seeks to maintain close ties with Turkey, which denies the Genocide and pressures other countries to avoid the subject. Nevertheless, a growing number of former Israeli officials and scholars have called for a change in the official Israeli approach. Yuri Stern, a member of the Israeli Parliament, who accompanied Metzger on the trip, similarly drew parallels between the Holocaust and the Armenian Genocide. “The fact that the world was silent when Armenians were being killed was a sort of license to kill Jews. We know this and must not place political expediency above everything else,” Stern said.

I spit on the faces of those who say Jews are anti-Armenian. Without Jewish support, no one in America would know anything about the Armenians.

David, there are only 1 or 2 anti-semites here who say that Jews are anti-Armenian, and they always get banned, and they always come back under different names, and then they get banned again.

None of the rest of us here say that all Jews are anti-Armenian. Many Jews are with us, and most of us know that and appreciate it immensely. However, the strongest Jewish groups, the ones with political power both in Israel and the U.S., are anti-Armenian. This is not a secret. AIPAC is not secretive about its anti-Armenian lobbying efforts. So while many individual Jews contribute to a better understanding of the Armenian Genocide, they are in direct conflict with their own political organizations who openly deny it.

So you should understand our dilemma as Armenians. We love those righteous Jews that tell the truth, and we hate those morally bankrupt Jews who lie, just like we hate anyone, Jewish, Muslim, or Christian, who lies about the Armenian Genocide. For example, Justin McCarthy is not Jewish, and we hate him, because he lies about the Genocide.

I'm sure you hate the 1 or 2 anti-semites here, and that does not make you an anti-Armenian, it just makes you a person who hates anti-semites. This is understandable, and hopefully you can understand it when we feel the same about anti-Armenians.

Well, you're going to have to find another forum in which to do so. This forum is about Turkish execution of the Armenian Genocide. It has nothing to do with Jews, and therefore prohibits discussion of the topic.

How can you forgive someone who doesn't think they did anything wrong? Not to mention an apology is a prerequisite for forgiveness, the definition of the word asserts this... It starts with Turks. I have forgivness for those Turks who have taken those two crucial steps at least on the individual level. Furthermore the Armenian nation isn't blockading anyone, right? They aren't demolishing the cultural heritage in 90% of someone elses homeland that they occupy, right? So, who is the aggressor? Where do you need to begin your pleas for peace? Are these the actions of someone who wishes to make the peace you are striving for? Start in the right place...

We look back because our dead aren't buried yet, because the world doesn't know what happened to them, and the murderer still runs free, they scream in agony - and it haunts our lives. We cannot begin to look forward until their souls are at rest.
