Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

my thought is that since europeans did a lot evil acts, such as bascially wiping out the population of south america, completly devestating africa, getting invovled in the slave trade, and also the whole process of colonization, i find it hard to take the europeans seriously when they press for turkey to admit about the genocide. its convenient for france to try to pass a bill, while turning their other cheek to what happend in north africa. we wont discuss spain and their horrible actions in mexico..just read hernan cortez's accounts and then the accounts of several locals. what about the thousands of africans who were forced across the ocean?
the point is that these events dont seem to be getting so much publicity, where as the turks are being pressed from time to time. have countries in africa and asia tell turkey to accept and i would take that seriously, but europeans i wont.
too bad its more than just morals.....

Thats Turkeys position on accepted facts about the Genocide of Armenians I'm sorry you lost.don't be a sore looser and payup,
"All truth passes through three stages:
          First, it is ridiculed;
Second, it is violently opposed; and

            sorry your highness

            emperorofthesky,

who are your Greek friends that deny the AG? get real, my friend. Find me a Greek who denies the genocide and I'll find you a Turk that doesn't have a picture of Kemal in his house!

Why are you guys always on the defensive? I saw on Turkish TV the baklava bakers outraged that (free) Cyprus somewhere officially declared baklava as their national dish. Who cares! You would think that a 75 million strong country with a bristling military would be more at ease because of their power. But then again look at the good ole US of A!

some countries like being on the defensive just like the way europe always sticks its nose in other countries business' and the way 'USof A' intervenes in everything. some like to accuse, some like to deny, some like to attack, some like to talk xxxx.

                I'll be damned!!!
                Like we had a say!!!

You took Ararat, Ani, Kars, Ardahan, Ardvin, Nakhijevan and Artsakh from us and you, self-righteous barbarians, you believe "the veritable interests of the Armenians themselves was best resolved with the Kars Agreement"???

What a load of brazenfaced bullxxxx. Have some shame!
This is worse than the Armenian Genocide.

If it was not for this diabolical treaty where after a hefty copulation, no after The Jew-Tatar Lenin and the Georgian psychopathic monster Stalin bent over and took the Jew-Tatar Kemal's Turkish Delight in their butts, many of our thousand year old monasteries would still be standing.
The Jugha cemetery would not have disappeared.
All the savageries you committed in Ani in the name of "restoration" would not have taken place.
The Artsakh conflict would never have existed and all the genocidal acts in Sumgait, Baku, Gandzak, Maragha, etc. would not have come about.
And most important of all, our most precious symbol, Mount Ararat would be with its people.

All this misery because of that devil Cacaturk and the diabolical treaty of Kars, where Armenians had not even been asked to express their opinion.

                Just tell me:
How on earth a species of the most savage, barbaric, nomadic, rape crazy, cities to cinders razing, buildings to rubble reducing, babies against rocks hurling, churches and houses torching, bloodthirsty, tent-dwelling, cattle-herder, Ural-Altaic, Mongolo-Tatar, Oghuz-Turkmen bandits who brought nothing other than death, destruction, subjugation, terror, rape, pillage, plunder, slavery, stealing of women and children and genocide, can be so self-righteous?

II. They project (e.g. they replace "Turk" with "Armenian" and vice versa and they regurgitate Armenian history).
III. They offend (e.g. they cuss, threaten and/or mock).
IV. They shut up and say nothing.

So are you ignoring what I said? Kurds, who were recruited by the Ottoman Government to assist in killing Armenians admitted that and apologized. What do you say to this? Turk's accomplice (Kurds) just incriminated Turks, and Germans (Turkish WW1 allies) have done the same... how can this be ignored by Turks?

With respect to the rest of your post. I agree, all such acts should be punished equally, and be given equal attention (although a certain Turkish ally wouldn't like their spotlight stolen). And I also agree that Armenians should put equal emphasis on recognition by all countries in the world (including the Africas and Asia).
