Wait, wait, wait...if you think Armenian and Turkish historians start talking problems will magically be solved? Do you honestly believe either side is going to change their opinion over a conference?

Not completely of course, but they could find some common points to agree on, right? At least I am sure that this could pretend some "hate sellers" to play games on Turkey and Armenia. Besides, history is not like chemistry, you can't find the true result with some experiments and calculations. You need to read, discuss, listen and analyze in history... Why don't we just listen the story from the two sides??? Even in this forum, some can't accept any posts with denial in it. It is also stated in the forum rules; is it the true way to find out the truth or is this just a forum for Armenians to organize for AG propagandas???

It certainly is the rule of the forum. We do not accept denial here. As I've explained to your compatriots several times, the goal of this forum was to exchange information regarding the Genocide, not to debate it. Nor is it a site for Turkish propaganda.

To debate the Armenian Genocide is an insult to us and open a wound that was never allowed to heal. I don't expect you to understand that. For Turks it is an issue of pride, for Armenians it is an issue of life or death.

The most I could one day hope for is that maybe we can one day regards each other in a magnanimous manner.

I agree Kharpert. All it will do is further entrench people. The offer for "letting historians settle the history" is dubious at best. Sounds more like a football match to me.

Not like a football match because: there won't be a winner and the sides won't try to beat each other... I didn't mean a debate contest, just like a workgroup that has Armenian and Turkish historians.

PS: Even if you disagree my idea, thanks for at least discussing about my post; this made me believe that my wish is worth to work on...

If you are trying to convince us that the "Turkish side of the story" deserves as much attention as what's told by real historians, you are wrong. No true historian has any doubt in their mind what 1915 is all about. The "Turkish side of the story" is a pseudoscience; an unclear, blurry, misrepresentation and conspiracy theory that changes every day to conviently fit the political climate and has no basis and no support aside from the influence of the Turkish government.

Geopolitically, this is NOT a historical issue anymore. This "Turkish side of the story" is purely a political gimmick...a rhetorical tool being tossed around by nations in power to advance their political agendas.

We have given you many chances. In fact, we recently gave denialism a big break on the PBS discussion panel. And yet, it seems, even the supposedly very best of the denialists ended up making such an ass of themselves that the whole issue became a farce. It seems very clear to me that denialists are incapable of explaining themselves.

So like I said earlier, it is very clear what denialism is and its complete absence of historical truth shines through every time. Historians are not convinced by denialism and politicians simply don't care, thus making the complex, frustrating issue that is genocide recognition.

I don't know if you watched the PBS debate on the Armenian Genocide.. but I tell ya buddy, those "historians" representing "the Turkish side" were emrabarassing.. and that's an understatement. They sounded so ridiculous I felt sorry for them.. And if you haven't seen it yet, you should.

I don't think after watching that, you'll be asking for debates..

I am not sure why you are repeating yourself all the time; please don't forget that shouting and wispering OR telling something once or millions of time has nothing to do with the reality/correctnesss of what you are saying...
