Police blow up package outside Turkish parliament

ANKARA, Jan 25 (Reuters) - Turkish police blew up a suspicious package outside parliament on Thursday which carried a note calling for the release of two suspects in the murder of a prominent Turkish-Armenian editor, police said.
The package contained a timer but no explosives, police told Reuters.
The note, from a shadowy ultra-nationalist group TIT, called for the release of suspects Ogan Samast and Yasin Hayal. Five men, including Samast and Hayal, have been charged in connection with the murder of Hrant Dink.
