The song from Armenia was OK but I really do think that musically the best song was the Turkish song.
Worst, but funniest was Spain...
I liked the Turkish song, but I don't think I'd say it was the best. Honestly Qele Qele wasn't that good. The song annoyed me on so many levels... not Sirusho's performance of it, which could've been better, but on the lack of subastance in the words. It sounded more like a jingle for a commercial or something than an actual 'good' song (which usually has a point to it). It just sounded like your Britney Spears-esq pop... but anyway, maybe thats what the people want, afterall she did get 4th.
Spain was hilarious, I have to give them that. I was sad to see the media reports in the days following segregating the "Eastern European Bloc" from Western Europe going so far as calling them "mafia"...
If the fans can persuade System of a Down to come out of hiatus to represent Armenia in the 2009 contest, then their song would definitely be the best.
Well, from the genocide standpoint, my favorite would either be P.L.U.C.K. or Holy Mountains. But for a song that just ROCKS, then I would definitely have to go with Cigaro. Or Vicinity of Obscenity.
