  • Hi

I feel like that i'm not welcomed here and I'm hated here.

    Is that true?

  • #2
Just because you allege to be a Turk? No, that's not true. Nobody hates Turkish people here. What we don't like are people who deny the Armenian Genocide knowing that they are wrong.

        Depends

If you hate Armenians you're in the wrong place

If not you will be okay, just no racism, no genocide denial and I assure everyone here myself included will be downright cuddly

          Denial of "genocide"

Why is the denial of "genocide" a very important prerequisite for talking? Why can't we just speak without some preconditions? Where is the open-mindedness, freedom of speech?

Refusing to talk, is that going to come up with a solution, I do argue..

[Btw I am not of Turkish origin but a citizen of Turkey and has not been "Turkified" with your words.]

Depends on how you talk really

Dia dhuit (hello in Gaelinn for those curious )

If you are going to debate it without becoming anti Armenian and racist like dear Murad, you will be fine generally. Lots of Turkish people have come to this website. Sorry if I sound rude when saying no genocide denial, but usually the guys who debate on other website slander Armenians (once again like Murad and TAT).

However just keep this in mind, in alot of places it is a crime to deny the Holocaust, which most people agree is racist as it calls Jews liars. I ask you if it is a crime to deny the Holocaust, shouldn't it be to deny the Genocide?

And I am not of Armenian origin, I'm half Mex Indian half Scotch-Irish Celt.

I'm sure you read the rules of the forum, before joining, right? So you must have known that denying the Armenian Genocide will get you banned. Of course you did.

Is this forum democratic? It's certainly not. Like I have written several times before, the purpose of this website is not to function as a public forum between two sides to discuss the validity of the Armenian Genocide, it's for Armenians to discuss the Genocide and a clearinghouse for information related to the subject.

We welcome others to join, drop-in, etc. but would rather do without the trolling and believe me, everything you'll no doubt write and say, we've heard over and over again so there's nothing new. If you're dissapointed with our website, fine, then you you can leave. If I join a Turkish forum and do not like what I see, I can leave. It's that simple. Furthermore, I seriously doubt my presence or any other Armenian's presence on such a forum talking about the Armenian Genocide would endear us to the Turkish members. Don't you agree?

              Something to think about.

As far as changing anyone's mind regarding the issue, I agree with you; it won't happen here. So what was your point in joining in the first place?

                Check out his post carefully

He didn't come in with good intentions, the very way he wrote genocide with ""s, already revealed his thoughts on the matter. I do not believe for one moment he came here to chat about anything much else (this forum is about the genocide after all) and instead of asking why it is called a genocide, he came in with his own preconditions, mainly to come here to try and disprove instead of hearing the otherside (that being the Armenian) viewpoint. Not very fair or democratic to begin with.

My point has always been if it is a crime to deny the holocaust (as it well should be), it should be to deny the Armenian Genocide. It is even worse to come to a board and directly call it a lie. Imagine for one moment this was a Holocaust remembrance site and a Nazi or white supremist came in and denied the holocaust, it would cause uproar. It is important to remember if the genocide was acknowledged, alot of the Nazi action could have been prevented.

If he wants evidence, I have read previous articles here and there is an archive of information here and more added daily. I am of the belief he merely came here to start an argument
