The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

  • Sarah Ferguson about Turkish orphanages ? >> inform her about 1915 Turkish behaviour

In Europe, we have heard about the documentary of former duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson, on (some?) orphanages in Turkey.

Studies have been done on the unconcious effects of Genocide denial. This Turkish behaviour regarding orphans can be an exemple of that underlying phenomen acting through generations.

There is to find the address of Sarah Ferguson public relations site (www? >> @) et send her www of historical testimonies showing how was Turkish behaviour regarding (Armenian) children. Besides this, knowing that there had been no sorrow, no apologizes, no reparations, etc, etc. from the Turkish State for so many years, I think Sarah Ferguson will be interested in these symbolic basic facts for today's administrative behaviour.

    Stone-throwing kids face 23 years
ISTANBUL - The Diyarbakır prosecutor charges six children for attacking police with stones and Molotov xxxxtails as they participated in street protests during the prime minister’s visit last month. Lawyers and experts have reacted strongly to the strict penalty and have called on legal authorities to observe the rights of young people

Stone-throwing kids face 23 years Six young people, all around the age of 15, are facing up to 23 years in prison for participating in the street demonstrations in Diyarbakır last month.

The demonstrations plagued Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s visit to the southeastern province.

"The reports prepared show that the defendants knew the legal meaning and consequences of the crimes they committed and had the ability to control their actions," the southeastern province of Diyarbakır’s prosecutor stated in the indictment of the youths.

The prosecutor’s indictment led to strong criticism from lawyers and experts over the severity of the sentence.

"Imprisonment is the last remedy according to the Law to Protect Children, which was legislated in 2005. Before imprisonment the law asks for preventing children from crime and protecting their fundamental rights," said lawyer Türkay Asma, the former head of Ankara Bar’s Children’s Rights Center.

In terror cases, decisions are taken to give comfort to society, said Halil İbrahim Bahar from International Strategic Research Center, or USAK, adding that while judging children, it should be asked whether Turkey conforms to international agreements and criteria for child protection.

"It has been said that military means do not solve terror. They do not. Do we want to jail these children and maybe turn them into terrorists," Asma said.

The Diyarbakır Prosecutor’s Office, in the indictment it prepared for the six youths under arrest, listed the acts each of the accused perpetrated. One 13-year-old is accused of shouting illegal slogans and being part of a group that threw stones. Another was seen placing illegal posters on walls and participating in a group seen throwing Molotov xxxxtails at police officers. Two others are accused of acting as watchmen to a group that was burning tires, while the last two were seen erecting roadblocks and being part of a group that threw stones at police.

The accused participated in demonstrations instigated by the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party, or PKK, and threw stones at the police, according to the prosecutor’s office.

All six are charged with committing a crime for a terrorist group that they do not belong to. The charge carries a prison term of up to 10 years. Promoting terrorist propaganda carries a five-year prison term and the use of weapons or other tools during protests carries an eight-year prison term. Two of the children were also charged with destruction of state property, which carries a prison term of six years.

Four of the six children were sent to the prosecutor’s office of the Heavy Crimes Court with Special Quality as their age is above 15, while one of them stayed behind at the Heavy Crimes Court for Young Persons, according to information from lawyer Canan Atabay, a member of Diyabakır Bar’s Children’s Rights Center. The street protests had erupted over claims the jailed leader of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party, or PKK, Abdullah Öcalan, was being mistreated in prison, which was denied by Justice Minister Mehmet Ali Şahin. Prime Minister Erdoğan’s visit to Diyarbakır on Oct. 20 saw some of the most violent street demonstrations in the region.

    Protecting young people

The statement in the indictment that the youths were capable of understanding the meaning and legal consequences of their crimes was one of the main targets of criticism.

"When we look at those children we see that they usually belong to families who have nine or 10 children," Asma said. "They cannot go to school, are not getting an education. The state cannot provide them with means to evaluate their spare time or charge their families for neglect. Then when those children are directed by someone to throw stones, how right is it to charge them with 20 to 30 years in prison?"

Atabay said there were two kinds of reports about young people jointly taken into account in the courts. One is the social examination report and the other is the criminal liability report, which she always objects to in trials. The criminal liability report assesses whether young people are physically and psychologically capable of understanding the meaning and legal consequences of their actions. Atabay said this report, however, was far from scientific.

"In these reports, a forensic expert examines whether the child has any psychological or physical defects preventing him from understanding the meaning and results of a crime. And the majority of the reports say children are capable of that. I always object and ask the court to listen to the expert who submits that report as a witness and to ask him which criteria he depends on. But in practice, courts are always overruling my objections."

Man you sound really messed up. We treat our orphan kids bad, so we must have treated Armenian orphans bad, Turks are inherently genocidal. You seem to have the reasoning capacity of a badger.

I saw the broadcast and the interview with a representative of the turkish embassy, who had threatened an injunction to prevent the broadcast. The footage of the orphanages shown was deplorable, but identical treatment of orphans in Roumania and Bulgaria shown in previous years. Mistreatment of children and orphans, in particular, is a crime, which unfortunately is very widespread.

Turkey should not be singled out on this. Treatment of orphans in most countries is horriffic. I've personally seen some horrible things in Armenia. Some of the underfunded and undertrained state run facilities are downright awful and heartbreaking. You see these children and you want to adopt all of them.

Not all is bad though and has has gotten better. Some diasporan charities such as FAR and others have made amazing progress. They have turned orphanages into what are essentially well-run boarding schools.

Prevention of the broadcast or even thinking about it is stupid. It should be shown everywhere, especially in Turkey (which they did) and all responsible people should be punished. This issue was discussed widely in Turkey and it got good coverage. Turkey has enough money to have better orphanges but this money ends up is some mf's pocket.

              But saying stuff like:

My English being not very fluent, I was obliged to look at the dictionary. Well, is it a way of speaking in this forum or a (very intense) personal reaction ? LOL.

It is a pitty that the books of the French-Armenian psychanalyst Helene Piralian-Simonian are not translated into English :

There are two web pages in English and several ones in Armenian.

Precise translation of words : http://dictionnaire.tv5.org/dictionn...n=4&mot=&che=1 + Translation by Google for text or web pages.

There are uncouncious historical phenomens from cause to effect in History. For exemple :

                - there was alcoholism in France at (very) high level till 1955. It was a national disease. It was the first country for alcoholism. This was done because of World War I. Soldiers were given alcohol so that they went out the tranchees in order to attack the German soldiers.

                - the same for indigenous peoples of New Zealand, of Native American Reservations : they were derooted, despised, devalorized.

                - the literature of Tennessee William is the echo effect among the whites of racism in Southern States

                - Official segregation in the Deep South was the result of slavery

                - Discrimination is an important cause of high rate criminality of African Americans

                - "The Poor White Trailer Trash" of Jerry Springer TV Show have their roots in unsuccessfull emigration,

                - etc, etc.

Of course, we do not have the right to generalize. All French, all Maoris or Native Americans are not alcoholic, all the South is not racist, all African Americans are not crimininals, etc, etc... So, please, I reject the ideas I have been accused.

Finally, which is important in this debate is to find an American editor which can contact Helen Piralian's editor for translating and publishing her books in English :
1er rang de l'édition française en nombre de titres - Au carrefour des sciences et du savoir

Once they are published. you can send these valuable books to Sarah Ferguson.

                Best regards (from Paris). Nil.

There are serious concerns about what actually is going on in orphanages. The following is a summary of Roelie Post's excellent book 'For Export Only; The 'untold' story of the Romanian 'orphans'.

The video 'Ark and the Adam's Family' also quote some of Roelie's work; disturbing comments having been made by those involved and their rather odd statements with respect to 'orphans' and marriage.

The related video 'Ark Schools, Academies and Eugenics' indicates the eugenics programme being implemented in the UK by those who are sponsoring schools in the UK as well as orphanages in Romania.

Adam Street and John Adam Street house many organisations who are involved with children and they clearly network together. Links below:http://www.lifeinthem...
