Guys, we all know that Armenians had MANY losses in the Genocide but what losses would you say were the worst to you or stand out more then the others? There's a catch though remember, you can't say "Losing all the land" or "Losing all our people", that's obvious .

Simple but truly a great loss.

Like I said before, I think one of the greatest losses would be many of our Armenians switching their personalities and becoming known as famous Turks rather then Armenians, forcefully or in a confused state. They grew up there and basically helped the Turks annihilate the Armenians indirectly. After that, they could never show their faces in Armenia again. If this happened only a few times, it wouldn't be such a loss but it's happened a lot. You'd gape at the amount of medals these Armenians received in Turkey, what political and powerful positions they enjoyed there, and how famous they were. The Turks used the Armenians to their advantage. Imagine waking up as a Turk and going to sleep as an Armenian.

A similar sort of thing occurred in Nazi Germany, there were Jews who acted like they were Nazi's and helped genocide other Jews, then there were others who though identified as Jews worked for the Nazi's to help genocide other Jews. Very sad.

It was a genocide, and it was a 'means to an end', if there wasn't a world war in 1915, the Ottoman Empire would not have been able to use some of the tactics. But in the end anything goes when you are an evil government committing genocide.

True again. I think the greatest advantage Turkey had was that we thought they were our allies. And also because of WW1. Many think that Turkey was just in a war and their were a lot of losses both for the Armenians and the Turks. This was just a cover up story to give the impression that the WW was in many ways responsible for what happened. They don't realise that the Turks simply did everything they did at the right time when everyone else was thinking about the WW. Who would care what happened to the Armenians, they had millions to save and think about. Also, many weren't aware. We were backstabbed by backstabbers, it's as simple as that. Many don't realise sometimes how close Armenians and Turks were in the past, how great their connection was. It is the same today except we can't talk like we used to with each other. That will change very soon!

you see, in turkey nobody knows her family before two generations. we also have really very sad stories. we dont know who we are? we have lots of christian bloods in ourselves.we wanted to forget it.

one of my grandmothers father and mother came from greece,ı dont know which year, their relatives were all killed in the mosque by greek soldiers,their heads were chopped off.and they were saved by the greek neigbours. not much different story than yours.

one of my grandmother is from Diyarbakır. She had no family. she never talked about what she was. she never used a headcover.I never saw her praying to anything. She probably was one of you.

actually all the story in anatolia is very sad. too much blood. too much sadness. and finally very coldhearted,insensitive nationalizm captured these lands. we lost each other,we forgot who we were.

you see ı dont know history well. ı only follow my insticts. ı think simple.armenians were in anatolia before turks. armenians just like others wanted to have their own country. but they couldnt. and than all of them are eliminated.

so untill here, ım not very different than the other tıurks. but the difference is ,that many turks think this is a normal punishment while ı think this is a huge crime.

ı blame the state who ordered such a violant solution to their problem.
