• Azerbaijan: A Land in Bloom by Mamed Iskenderov

Published in the 1950s, this is an interesting time capsule of Soviet Azerbaijan. Armenians are part of Azerbaijan's workforce and other soviet republics are referred to as "fraternal." It is essentially a glorification of Soviet communism.

My favorite part: "Finally, Azerbaijan will be able to help her neighbours, Georgia and Armenia. When the Transcaucasian gas pipe-line is finished in the near future Baku will be able to send cheap, convenient fuel to Tbilisi and Yerevan."

Strangely enough, the terms "Azerbaijani" or "Azeri" aren't used. Iskenderov calls them the "Azerbaijan people" or "Azerbaijanians."

The specimens of this counterfeit “nation” were known as Tatars, who led their miserable lives in the form of a primitive clan system, before the fabrication of this fake nonentity north of the Arax. The “Azerbaijani” “nation” was forged in 1936 and it must have taken some time before these savages became used to calling themselves “Azerbaijani”. Of course, later they lavished the term of endearment “Azeri” on their worthless selves, not without ulterior motives, mind you.
Four things denialist Turks do when they are confronted with facts:

I. They change the subject (e.g. they copy/paste tons of garbage to divert attention).
II. They project (e.g. they replace "Turk" with "Armenian" and vice versa and they regurgitate Armenian history).
III. They offend (e.g. they cuss, threaten and/or mock).
IV. They shut up and say nothing.
