    Why do Turks deny the genocide? What other countries deny it too?

          Turkey is afraid of being claimed for damages if its State recognize that genocide ! Then it would have to restore lands and property ! It could also have to give compensations !

          That's the reason why the Turkish government tries to deny the Armenian genocide so awkwardly but their denial is only based on lies !

            Some answers to your questions from Hrant Dink:
            The trailer for the 40 minute documentary of Hrant Dink in conversation with Nouritza Matossian

            And: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aH0we...eature=related
            (There is also a 2nd part of this interview. Could not find English translation/subtitles quickly but I remember it exists somewhere. Knowing Turkish will suffice to guess the questions as well because Hrant speaks in Turkish)

              To admit the truth is against everything Kemalism stands for.
              "All truth passes through three stages:
              First, it is ridiculed;
              Second, it is violently opposed; and
              Third, it is accepted as self-evident."

                Blind critization of Kemalism is as bad and inaccurate as blind praisal of Kemalism...

                Over-simplifications are as bad as over-generalizations as well...
