Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

  • Genocidal intentions of Azeris

I have an interesting amount of articles I came across, most of them showing (make that proving) that Pan Turkism was a very very important part of Azerbaijani politics as earl as the mid 19th to early 20th century

I have found a few historical accounts, some from Azeris themselves of that era calling the atrocities done to Armenians nothing short of utmost brutality with the aim to completely wipe out Armenians from the Caucusus and Anatolia, what do you guys think, I personally think what happened if you read all the articles is that Azerbaijan at least wholly or in part destroyed Armenians in their repsective areas and this constitutes further Genocide and should also be recognised as Genocide

We could DEFINITELY use this in CA bro. We have a page called Turkish Dreams right? Why not create a page called Azeri Dreams?

The way I have always looked at it is that in a way the Armenian Genocide never ended, the Azeri's took on from where the Turks left off.

The government of Azerbaijan proclaimed in Baku about the annexation of the disputed territory and, on January 15, 1919, appointed Khosrov bek Sultanov, the "owner of vast tracts of Karabagh ... an ardent pan-Turkist, a friend of the Ittihadists of Constantinople, and a terror to all Armenians" [19], as governor-general of Karabagh. Britain (which had a small detachment of troops stationed in Shusha) agreed to Sultanov's appointment as a provisional governor, but insisted that a final decision on the territory's ownership should be decided only at a future Peace Conference.

        Vahan Atanesyan says :

"The massacre of Armenians in Shushi in 1920 is nothing but a genocide, Chairman of the parliamentary Commission for Foreign Relations of Karabakh, Vahram Atanesyan, said at a press-conference today. He said the massacre was perpetrated by Azerbaijan with the support of the Turkish expeditionary corps. Atanesyan stressed that Karabakh has never been a part of Azerbaijan and was de facto independent at that moment, its status being recognized by Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan" [54].

A sad but true story. This probably never got printed but it was on the radio last year I think. It shouldn't be suprising ya'll, the radio here in Armenia gives you more detailed and important news reports then the television or even newspapers at times.

What happened was the Azeri's tied an Armenian to a tree and then took a long two-man saw (forgot what they call those in English, lol) and cut him in half while the rest of the people stood around AND played music with Dhols, etc. if I heard correctly. Fact is they seemed happy. No one felt bad or something. THIS is the kinda hate we face ... this is the kind of racism that's still visible in this world !

Peace ya'll. May that Armenian's soul rest in peace.

Damn thats bad bro, the thing is this stuff needs to be documented because the net and the US sponsored view on things is so rampantly pro Azerbaijan/Tataristan that they gloss over that stuff

Like Peter said, in many cases the Genocide continued towards Armenians from the Azeri side, I am uploading a report now done by an ethnic Azeri who in 1915 himself said he is appalled with his people and that their actions are nothing shorrt of brutality, in addition to saying that the Armenians NEVER DID ANYTHING TO PROVOKE SUCH ATTACKS (like the so called March massacre of Azeris in 1915)

There is a lot that DOESN'T even come out of Armenia/Azerbaijan/Turkey. For example, I VERY MUCH doubt you'll be able to read what I just told you anywhere on the net. All this info has to pile up somewhere and I think we already know where...

These people need to also be mentioned and talked about a lot. Many don't know about them either. That's about to change...

                Re: Genocidal intentions of Azeris

                This proves Genocide :

According to the description of Azerbaijan communist Musaev, «the ruthless destruction of defenceless women, children, old women, old men, etc has begun. Armenians were exposed to a mass slaughter (...). beautiful Armenian girls were raped, then shot. (...) At an order (...) Khosrov-bek Sultanov, pogroms proceeded for more than six days, houses in the Armenian part have been crushed, plundered and reduced all to ashes, everyone led away women to submit to the wishes of executioner musavatists. During these historically artful punishments Khosrov-bek Sultanov, pronouncing speeches, spoke to the Moslems, about holy war (jihad) and called to finally finish the Armenians of the city Shusha, not sparing women, children, etc.»[34]

Nadezhda Mandelstam wrote about Shusha in the 1920s: "...in this town, which formerly of course was healthy and with every amenity, the picture of catastrophe and massacres was terribly visual... They say after the massacres all the wells were full of dead bodies. ...We didn't see anyone in the streets on the mountain. Only at downtown- in the market-square there were a lot of people, but there wasn't any Armenian among them, all were Muslims".[35]
