If you received settlement payments as a person persecuted by the regime that was in control of the Ottoman Turkish Empire from 1915 until 1923, your gross income does not include those excludable settlement payments, or interest, received by you, your heirs, or estate for payments received on or after January 1,
    2005.

    Line 8 – Taxable Interest Income
    If you did not receive any of the kinds of income listed below, do not make an entry on this line in either column B or column C. Enter in column B the interest you received from:

    • U.S. savings bonds (except for interest from series EE U.S. savings bonds issued after 1989 that qualified for the Education Savings Bond Program exclusion);
    • U.S. Treasury bills, notes, and bonds; or
    • Any other bonds or obligations of the United States and its territories.
    • Interest earned from Ottoman Turkish Empire Settlement Payments.
