I'm going to a Dodger game on Saturday and like jilbagh said, Laker game on Friday. Maybe I'll go to the vigil at school.

Not to sound like the forum's father, but isn't it a little inappropriate to be going at a baseball game on April 24? We CAN put one day out of 365 (even 366 this year) aside to commemorate our ancestors, no?

Yes. We will still be commemorating it. Hogg mentioned he's going to his schools vigil, I will be going to ceremonies around the city.

What's sad is that in LA is that there is more socializing at the protest than actual protesting.

Agreed about more socializing than protesting.
But it isn't about what others do.
It's not only about protesting either. It's about remembering, commemorating, yevayln.

And I don't know, it just sounds weird that you can go from April 24 to cheering at a baseball game in the same day.

I feel ya...everyone lives their own lives and dedicates time and rememberance and their own ways.... I wonder if Hogg will wear a genocide shirt and take a 'yerakouyn' with him to Dodger Stadium

My feelings about April 24 probably aren't as strong as everyone else's here. I helped out with the marches the last 2 years so I've done more than many Armenians do. I just don't think commemorating = stop living. Plus, it's USC Night at Dodger Stadium that day so I chose to go. I wasn't sure if I should go because of April 24 but I just figured there's no point in not.

That guy with the megaphone at that website gave me a ride home from the march last year. Craziest driver ever.
