The problem is that their(speaking of turks) barbarian attitude havent change over the last 800 years.They exterminate greeks that lived for thousands years in the byzantium(constantinopole),smyrna,pontos,cyprus etc etc , that greeks establish, with repeated genocidies,they smashed armenians with such a cynicism and nowdays kurds are the next victims.What can you say about a country with a "red"history like turkey?It is a pity for humanity that mongols left asia and came to our land destroying such a great civilizations.

I agree with you as a Turk. I hate living in this country. If you express your opinions about this country they send you directly to jail, they torture you. This country is anti-democratic, fascist and militarist. And it is built on the bones of Armenians. All the rich cultures in Anatolia have been vanished, destroyed and I am searching for those cultures. As an asiatic nomadic culture how could Turks claim to be the dominant culture in Anatolia altough there was a Helenistic culture, Roman culture, Armenian culture, Persian culture, Mesapotamian culture in Anatolia; cultures that have roots of thousands of years? I dont understand. Other emperialist countries conquered lands with primitive cultures and exported there their culture, but how can you conquer a land that have more rooted cultures than yourself and still you are trying to make your mediocre culture superior to them? You are so right. Turks could have migrated here with their culture and joined the peoples of Anatolia in peace. They did it in other places and they were mixed with other peoples. Because everybody migrated from some place due to the circumstances. But Turks had no right to come here, conquer here and dictate their culture with force. There are lots of Turks who think like me. But we are opressed by the fascists. This is a country that is administered by a fascist minority. They brainwash the people in Anatolia. They are just a minority but hold the fate of the country in their hands. Anatolian people never rised up and stood against them. They were all exploited, first by the Ottoman Empire, then the Turkish Republic. These people are supposed to be Turks, considered as Turks that come from Central Asia. And by the brain washing since the foundation of the republic they came to believe that. But these lands have never been fully Turkilized. And the Ottoman knew it very well. They never got along with the Anatolian people. They always carried out massacres, neglected these people and left them in poverty. The people were conflicting with the ideology of the empire. they were under the influence of Persian culture and the majority was "Alevi" muslims, Kurds, converted Rums(Romans), assyrians other assimilated ethnic groups, even Celtics were here. I am not mentioning the Armenians and Greeks, they were widespread on this land. So Anatolia was never fully Turkilized. The Turkmens and the settlers were always going in the direction of West and settling in Balkans. Now I am saying that is in anatolia right now, there are millions of descendants of the ancient cultures of anatolia. And they are aware of that. For their interests they are assimilated. The Turkish originated people are still a minority in Anatolia and they are still opressing these people. But there is an illumination right now in Anatolia. people are reading books, searching for their roots, they are becoming aware of some things. they are beginning to understand how they were abused, how they used the anatolian people as slaves, first to fight for the ottomans then to build this artificial country. They are beginning to realize the official lies. So I have hope in this people. So what I am trying to say is, dont pass a sentence on whole of the Turks and dont condemn all of them. There are very kind, naive people in Turkey. They dont give a sh1t about these nationalist crap. These people couldnt do anything in the time of Armenian Genocide because they had no power. Because who resisted the Law of Deportation would be sentenced to death. The rulers were great tyrants. These people were just opressed people throughout centuries so they just stayed silent. The only thing they could do was to help their Armenian neighbours, hide them, save their kids from the genocide. My family was one of them. They hid their Armenian neighbours; The Dashdan Family in Baibourt. There are many accounts like that. Of course some people were ignorant, violent, rude, stupid by their nature or by lack of education especially as we think about the conditions of that time. Maybe they were so much afraid and agitated, they had prejudice and maybe they believed the evil propoganda. And they did very bad things to Armenians. Think about the Germans who were blinded by hitler, it is a social madness. There are good people and evil people like in every community and you cannot condemn a whole community as barbarians or killers and it is not fair. We are all humanbeings and a race that commited great crimes in the past can change, can make amends, can make a progress, can be very peaceful, democratic and advanced, take Vikings for example they were a barbaric lot but they are now one of the most civilized nations on earth. The Spanish made genocides on South American Indians. The Dutch people in south Africa were racist discriminators. USA made genocides on Indians and they exploited africans as slaves and they were racists until 1960s. The French made genocides in Algeria. I am not mentioning the genocides of the English they exploited the world. We can give lots of examples. But today we dont condemn their people and want to take revenge. But one important difference is that they confronted with their past, Turks still dont do, but I still have hope. Today's Turkish people are making a mistake by not accepting the genocide. So they are becoming partners of the crime. It is a big mistake. Everything could be better if they had accepted this crime against humanity and apologize, make amends, give compensation to the families of victims, restore the Armenian region of Turkey and welcome all the Armenians back to their homelands. In fact if you talk individually to the people of Turkey they all accept that there is a genocide. I experienced it nobody denies it. But in international arena it is a government policy to deny the genocide. And this policy takes its roots from the fascist roots of the state that is dictated by the fascists, they made it a taboo. They lay the foundation of national arrogance. So fascists are a problem in every country. And they are the reason of all ethnic conflicts, wars, hatred, discrimination, genocide. If we can get rid of these fascists everyhing will be better.
