Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

Besides being the best of the bad option on the world does never mean US government is good.I realy wish your president has your good intentions but i just dont believe that. Also i dont know what you should do to make your voice heared but i still insist on my previous post. But i never accused your nation. It was your government that i was critizing. Let me tell you that most of the people in this region see US just the way i see her. But they wont support me on this you know why. Please understand me i never post a question to gain upper hand. And please just assume you are asking those questions to yourself and forget about me.I dont know what you should do but i know what you are doing now looks like.

Of course comming from the nation which is accused you will see any attempt to demand or acheive justice in the worst light.

BTW - not all Americans are neo-facist or support all US policies - quite the opposite. And just because the majority of Americans are clueless do not presume that there are not a great deal of Americans who are highly (internationally) aware - some more then others. Obviously it is difficult for anyone and the people of any nation to understand and see things as others do - we are all caught in our own realities and our own media feeds - however some - such as myself - make it appoint to be aware and to understand. As such I have an appreciation regarding how the US is viewed by others - and why. Regardless (of the legitimacy of many of these views) the US - being #1 - is a (easy) target. If other nations and their actions were so under the spotlight they wouldd be most all be equal targets for such critiques. Obviuosly the US being in a power position - being a leader in the West - and also having vast international commercial interests - tends to get us embroiled in more s hit then most. But that is just the way it is. Regardless of the misdeeds of individuals and government - the US at its core is very moral in a way I'm not sure others understand well. Trust me this is true - regardless of your impressions to the contrary. If more Americans were aware of things - and when they do (on occasion) become aware of misdeeds and such - there is accounting. And though many actions taken by the US internationally can be viewed as aggressive or domineering (again by the nature of our position to some extent) - Americans as a people by and large are just wishing to do their thing and live nice lives - they really don't have such a desire to rule and dominate (as seems to be in the character of certain other nations). Of course - there are segments here who count on Americans ignorance of the detrimental effect of our societies consumption and such to continue forging ahead in destructive ways. It is important that those of us who know better do what we can to educate and influence as we can. All that being said the US is overall a great nation still with great possibilities - if we don't stray off our basic values. And due to our postion in the world at this time - we will be disliked regardless - just because we are #1 and also because of some of the things we (must?) do to maintain that. But it is not so bad. After 9/11 we saw that others do appreciate us and we had a glimsp of solidarity and shared values and such....its a great shame that our leadership was unable to appreciate this and has been hijaked by certain folks with rather questionable agendas.

Being the best of the bad option?
Are you joking? US rule is one of the worst option in the world together with smoe terrorist groups. And Bush government is not the one only to blame. In fact, ordinary Americans in the streets are responsible from the evilness of their government. USA is a big factory that produce dumbs. It is an inetersting factory. Besides about %1 of the total population who are well educated, clever, intellectual the rest of %99 is totally fool about everything in the world. They even don't know where Germany is on the map for example. They have no idea about anything happening in the world except the idea of USA is the superpower of the world. And these fool people elect this Bush fool. I am observing with a big surprise that how the liberal democratic nation is turning to a nation of foolish fascists. This transformation is not only a dissapointment for the ones who believe the liberal role of US, but also dangerous for the world since a group of dumb who are selected by a dumb nation ruling the superpower of the world.

"just because we are number one"..... isnt it interesting? similarity between this and " everybody trying to takes us down".... mr winoman please read your own posts as a reply....

-not all Americans are neo-facist or support all US policies - quite the opposite. i agree
-just because the majority of Americans are clueless ----- i agree
-we are all caught in our own realities and our own media feeds ------ i agree

"If other nations and their actions were so under the spotlight they wouldd be most all be equal targets"... you started to sound like a Turk suddenly... shall we?

"the US at its core is very moral in a way I'm not sure others understand well." tell me if you have a fridge that burns surrounding furnitures what do you call it.. a fridge or a stowe.? the core is not my concern... your fridge is burning me my friend... typical Turk.

Americans as a people by and large are just wishing to do their thing and live nice lives ---- arent we all? (ah my mistake except we Turks ofcourse we like to carry around our shame of denial)

"After 9/11 we saw that others do appreciate us and we had a glimsp of solidarity and shared values and such....its a great shame that our leadership was unable to appreciate this and has been hijaked by certain folks with rather questionable agendas." thats what i was trying to say.... your english is better than mine

and Karakitap... which country should be super power ? America is ok.... or was... lets say they suddenly lost Russia as an opposition and they suddenly left without an identity.. so they found (mostly created because i dont believe 9/11 is a work of arabs even though i dont like arabs) a new enemy to keep their national identity of CAPTAIN AMERICA the LETS-MAKE-EVERYBODY-DEMOCRATIC...

i dont want china to become superpower.. i dont wanna watch chinese movies.. think about it... same goes with France and Germany or Japan....

                  Kemal Sunal's ones.

The one where he plays the country bumpkin who inherits a shop in Istanbul and proceeds to give away all the stock has to be one of the funniest films ever made. I forget its name right now.
