Armenian, I think you know that I agree with what you wrote. The source of this actually comes from an anti-Muslim site and they seek to capitalize on all such writings.

On the other hand, Bushes speeches contain such fancy words as "Islamic fascists" and they focus on Iran and Syria -- while giving a wink and a nod to the corrupt Arabs and to the turks. So maybe we can give a wink and a nod to the Iranians instead.

By the way Russians do that too (attack Muslims while giving a wink and a nod to the Syrians and Iranians). The overwhelming majority of people are extremely shallow, and you know it -- but unfortunately the shallow hordes are the mob.

To tell you the truth, I just happened to come across the thread and I mistakenly thought that you had posted it recently. I later realized that it was posted three years ago. Needless to say, I know you have adjusted your understanding of this topic somewhat over the years. However, looking at your your follow up posts, your discussion with Karoaper, it seems as if you did buy into their propaganda at the time.

For Muslims who happen to find themselves on the opposite side of the so-called forces of freedom (Palestinians, Hizbollah, Iranians, Tadjiks, Syrians) Russia is God sent.

And the "shallow hordes" are the foot soldiers and the financial supporters of such wars. Scary thought isn't it?

Yes it is not about Islam but Pan-Turkism. But the Ittihad and Terakki (Union and Progress) Party used Islam to provoke the muslim subjects of the empire against the Christians. They forced the Caliph to give a fatwa about it. It wasn't the Ottoman way, it was the IT way. And the ignorant people of Anatolia obeyed this because it was a fatwa from the caliph but the most important thing was; the income from the spoils would be great and it was really.......
