Protest at Turkish confrence being planned
The Michigan ANCA, in conjunction with the Armenian National Committee - Eastern Region and the Chicago ANCA, is organizing a protest in Chicago on Saturday, November 19th during the Assembly of Turkish American Associations annual convention. We will be protesting the continued denial of the Armenian Genocide by the Turkish government and the application of Turkey to the European Union. In addition, the former president of Turkey is scheduled to present an award to Former US President Bill Clinton on Saturday night.
The Michigan ANCA is providing the transportation on Saturday morning to Chicago. It is assumed we will be staying overnight in Chicago on the 19th and returning to Detroit on the 20th. Hotel accommodations will be organized with the Chicago ANCA.
