Success of the Armenian delegation at the World Summit on the Information Society, and Prime Minister Adranik Margaryan’s speech caused convulsion within the Turkish and Azerbaijani delegations.
After Andranik Margaryan’s speech the representative of Turkey refused to speak, because the Armenian Prime Minister’s speech included reference to the DVD on the Armenian Genocide. The Azerbaijani delegation again reminded about the 20 per cent of occupied territories and one million of refugees. This is what prevents the development of Information Technologies in Azerbaijan. Azeris had introduced also a DVD, presenting the ecological damage caused by the Karabakh conflict.
Today the results of the summit were summed up by the Advisor to the Prime Minister Ara Hakobyan and Secretary of the Council Promoting Development of Information Technologies Armen Grigoryan.
