    Peter Balakian - The Current on CBC

    A conversation with Peter Balakian, the great-great-nephew of Grigoris Balakian, a survivor of the Armenian Genocide and the author of an important historical memoir of what happened. Peter Balakian has just translated Grigoris Balakian's memoir into English and we'll talk to him about his great-great-uncle's legacy and the on-going efforts to account for what happened.

      Nearly a hundred years ago, Grigoris Balakian wrote a defining account of the Armenian Genocide. Now his great-great-nephew has translated it into English for the first time and it still makes for harrowing reading.

          No problem, neither did I... Peter Balakian been in the media as of late and has been making speeches in some Armenian communities about his great-great uncle's memoir.

            KanadaHye jan, thank you for posting this and letting us know about the Golgotta book; in Armenian "Haygagan gam Hay Azki Koghkotan". I just listened Peter Balakian's talk with Anne Marie of Canada and Peter was very well outspoken.
