I have to admit that I've only read a couple of passages from the book (and found the author's prose style to be a little too rococo) but I think it's encouraging that one of the producers of the film adaptation is Turkish.

I have to admit to having a copy of the book for about 7 or 8 years and having not read a word of it yet!

I am interested in Shekhar Kapur's adaptation of Micheline Marcom's Three Apples Fell from Heaven. This is a huge movie about the Armenian Genocide that's gonna be out on April 24, 2015. Looks pretty big, here is the list of actors: Al Pacino, Leonardo DiCaprio, William Fichtner, Tom Wilkinson, Paul Giamatti, Armand Assanti, Natalie Portman.
