I'd like to add something to this thread.

One of the main reasons why I enjoy movies so much, in general, is because of the memories. We owe so much to the movies we watch, particularly because they also make up most of the cliches in our lives. We get our image of a "bad guy" from the way they are portrayed in movies we saw from long ago.

What I greatly admire about movies is also the emotion. For example, I love Christmas because of the lights in my town and the overall feeling of a new year coming up. I owe most of these feelings to movies like Home Alone. All of you know exactly what I mean by mentioning that movie. You can hear the Christmas songs, you can see the lights on the trees, snow on the street, etc.

Childhood movies are the best; they stick around forever.

These are good points. In many ways, movies influence our everyday actions and character. I always wonder how people acted back before movies were around to dramatize interaction.

I think childhood movies had more meaning & a real point.
Some of the movies these days are just pointless to put it in simple words.
