These songs have comprised of the soundtrack for my families vacations throughout my childhood and early adulthood. Scenic routes through California's beautiful nature accompanied by artists such as Demis Roussos, Salvatore Adamo, Cesária Évora, Charles Aznavour, Al bano & Romina Power, Gilbert Bécaud, Ray Charles, Nina Simone, Arthur Meschian, Édith Piaf, Joe Dassin and so forth
I cannot listen to any of these artists without remembering Carmel by the Sea and its beautiful 17 mile drive, San Simeon's Hearst Castle, Lompoc's beautiful flower fields, San Luis Obispo, Morro Bay, Monterey, Solvang's windmills, Lake Tahoe, Sequoia National Park's giant trees and San Fransisco.
