      Tuesdays with Morrie

I picked up Tuesdays with Morrie a few days ago while I was in Borders. I had previously read The Five People You Meet in Heaven and For One More Day. I felt guilty that I hadn't read Mitch Albom's first novel so I picked it up.

I didn't know the novel was autobiographical but quickly caught on. The novel is definitely the best of Albom's work. Although the novel is quite "Hollywood" -- my best explanation -- I did enjoy it very much. Thinking about the real Morrie Schwartz was enough for me to get emotionally attached. It truly is a sad story and there is much truth said between the pages. I haven't seen the film, although I am quite interested to see it considering it was Jack Lemmon's final film before he passed.

Woody Allen At Work: The Photographs of Brian Hamill

I came across this beautiful piece while making an unexpected stop at Movie World in Burbank. I bought the screenplay for Hannah and Her Sisters and later stumbled upon another Woody Allen book.

Photographer Brian Hamill's work is displayed creatively throughout this collection. It's a great look at Woody Allen on location, directing and rehearsing. Charles Chamlin provides an essay, which looks deeply into Woody's career. I'm definitely glad I came across this and added it to my personal collection!

              Watchmen

I bought the novel today and I'm not sure if I'll have time to read it this month. Hopefully I will finish by the release of the film, if not, I'll finish mid-March. This marks the first comic I have ever read. Dyslexia, here I come.

Read it a few weeks ago, it's great. Rorschach is such a cool protagonist! Get ready for a bunch of huge consecutive twists around the end.
