Here is the solution, if you still love the bands you're listening to:

By the way, what do you think about paying 20$ a cd, giving 1$ to the band, 1$ for making the cd, and the remainder to God ?

I think the price of a cd should be 15-22$ canadian (around 8-15 american), and should be split up like this:

(Say the cd was 18$ canadian)

        It would be:

        6: To the band
        2: To the store
4: To the record label (who is supposed to print the layout, front covers, and cd itself, and take care of promotion)
4: To the producer/engineer or the album
        2: Shipping costs

        Adjust according to factors.

Frankly, the industry is giving it hard to the artists, who are basically getting screwed over and are the LAST ones to get paid. I do understand why the producers would have to get money first (it is, after all, their time, efforts and studio the band is using), but record labels shouldn't horde the rest of the money.

Besides, the RIAA should learn to accept peer to peer sharing as a reality, and realize that raising cd prices on their cds will do nothing but drive away their fickle music 'fans'.

During this whole ordeal, the big record companies kept complaining that their sales went down, but I haven't heard anything about sales of non-mainstream music. I bet they're up.
