I don't want to confuse this with potential awards threads, including the Golden Globes and Academy Awards. This is a thread for us to share our thoughts on our favorite films of the year. I'll go first, by stating my favorites thus far, and which films I am looking forward to seeing, which may end up securing a place in my top ten.

I still have to see the following films; Howl, Exit Through the Gift Shop, The Ghost Writer, Another Year, Rabbit Hole, Somewhere, True Grit, Blue Valentine, The Illusionist, Biutiful, Heartbeats, among others. I will see most of these in the next week or so.
