The East is a thought provoking movie worth watching. It is full of moral dilemmas and not too far from reality. It is about an anarchist group giving the corporate elites literally a taste of their own medicine. The corporations recruit a spy to infiltrate the group. I am not going to spoil it but this is a movie worth watching. 9/10

Watched Maleficent last night. This is the sleeping beauty story with a twist or two. I liked the twists and the departure from the original Disney storyline but the movie could have been better because it felt like it was several stories glued together and the glue which was what made this very much worth watching was the acting of Angelina Jolie. She proves in this movie that a good actress can make or break a movie all by herself. She was brilliant in her performance and displayed many emotions and human flaws very effectively. I will not ruin the movie for those who have not seen it yet by giving away the story but i will say that if you want to see some great acting and pretty good story about human flaws and greed this is a good movie you should not miss. 9/10

How ironic is it that Hollywood studios walk on eggshells with faith-based groups hoping their religious epics like Noah do a fraction of the business Mel Gibson did with The Passion Of The Christ, while those studios continue to shun Gibson like a leper? What better way to commemorate Passion‘s 10th anniversary than journalist Allison Hope Weiner‘s examination of her relationship with Gibson and how it evolved from harsh coverage to the point where she feels strongly enough about his good qualities and recovery to urge Hollywood to consider giving him another chance. Weiner has written about Gibson for Deadline […]

Just watched -- The Lone Ranger -- with Johnnie Depp, etc.
If you like slapstick in a modern version, then you'll enjoy this movie.
If your not prepared to laugh then skip this one.
    It's a laugh a minute flick.

    Pineapple Express

Process server Dale Denton (Seth Rogen) has a grudging business relationship with Saul Silver (James Franco), deigning to visit only to purchase Saul's primo product -- a rare new strain of pot called Pineapple Express.

But when Dale becomes the only witness to a murder by a crooked cop (Rosie Perez) and the city's most dangerous drug lord (Gary Cole), he panics and dumps the Pineapple Express at the scene. When it's traced back to him, Dale and Saul run for their lives... and they quickly discover that they're not just suffering from weed-fueled paranoia
