Ok, everybody I ask doesn't know who sings it. The title is "Armenian Hoghe." Here is a rough version of some of the lyrics. He sings "Armenian Hoghe, yergir tzova." The rest I can't figure out.
I know the song you speak of, and I recall several versions from different singers. Unfortunately, I was a wee little lad when I heard them, and don't recall who they were.
true, its a very popular song & probably every armenian singer has sung it at some point in their career (probably many many times) but the most popular version is definitely by far harout's.
armenian hoghe,
yergire, tsore,
sassoun, moush'n ou vane,
haygagan hoghe
Ok, a little more assistance here. Do any of you have this song? The version I have is 56 seconds long, and the version I found on Kazaa is the same length. So is that how long this song is, or it's longer?
its cuz its part of a 3 track medley. i dont know what the first track is called, but its a slow-ish 3/4 instrumental tune. the second track is called "Drnki Bar" which lasts 4 minutes. its also instrumental. goes from the 3/4 feel of the previous track into a shourchbar style tune & then it goes into a 6/8 hayasdanyan part for a little while before it busts into "Armenian Hoghe" which is the 3rd & last track of the medley. its the only one of the 3 with harout singin on it.
