For anybody who enjoys the sound of the duduk, Djivan Gasparyan's albums are a must.
He might just be the world's most famous Armenian artist. He's on the soundtrack of "Gladiator", Denzel Washington's "The Siege" and a few other movies. He's collaborated with Michael Brook, Turkish musician Erkan Oglur (he held a concert in Istambul earlier this year), guitarist Jesse Cook and French-Armenian musician Armen Chakmakian.
His works with Chakmakian and the one with Cook (Incantation) are amazing. And you should all definitely check out Armenian Lyric Melodies and Dances, by the Djivan Gasparyan trio.
