    Chord-Dictonary!

  • #2
this would be a cool page.... if it gave ACCURATE results!! lol

the chord voicings are very unnatural.. as for the scale generator, its horribly off... full of totally incorrect scales. i can say close to half of them are completely wrong!!

the chord generator is showing very unusual chord voicings... i can see that its always fitting all the chord tones within one octave & thats a very unnatural way of voicing chords. for example, the C7(b9) shows the "flat 9" (the D flat) in the bottom part of the voicing, just a semitone above the bass note (C). chord extensions like 9ths & flat 13ths belong in the upper part of a chord voicing, while more fundamental chord tones such as 3rds & 7ths belong in the bottom part.

i dont even want to mention any examples in the scale generator, because i wouldnt know where to start. let's just say most of them are wrong... & what the hell is the "Enigmatic" scale?? looll thats not even a scale name!
