You silly people, listening to turkish music doesnt make you a turk lover.

Like i said, music is a universal language.

It's one thing to not like something because it doesnt sound good to you, and its completely another thing to not like something just because its from a certain ethnicity in which you dislike, which is rather ignorant and closed minded.

Same thing goes vise versa with turks. It would be pretty stupid of them to think Armenian music is bad, just because its Armenian. Some music is good, some is bad. It's a givin in all ethnic music, but to say all of it is bad because of it being of a certain ethnic type, then it's pretty stupid.

I dont know about Tarkan and his Kiss Kiss...but Ýbrahim Tatlýses is real good, and the fact that they are turkish does not really bother me, because what happened back then has nothing to do with the turks today...true they still claim nothing ever happened, but thats their problem not ours....as long as we know it happened and the greatest mack of all does, god than everything is cool.....sooo ya..lol

I happen to really enjoy Kiss Kiss. It is somewhat (for lack of a better word) "cheezy" but I do like it nontheless.

Anyone that says that they won't listen to Turkish music because of the past we've had with them or that it's just plain Turkish is really closing their eyes and not really looking at it from a musical perspective.

I'm not saying that we should dance on Turkish music and have our children enjoy it.... hell no.

Music is universal and people should keep their minds open to the different genres and styles there are in the world.

Their are a few Turkish songs I've listened to that have pissed me off, but not all Turkish music is bad. Some are actually quite good. Tarkan is good. He's been around for a long time and his songs are really catchy with their modern beats and rythms.

that name tarkan...sounds very similar to 'tarax'...at least to me! hmmm it could have just as easily elicited 'tanak'...

Most Armenian music is originally Turkish, Greek or Arabic. Most Turkish music is originally Arabic or Greek. So most songs are Arabic or Greek.

There you have it, music / greek...music is greek!
