.....its gonna suck more when Gunit signs....get this....Chingy but this new nas double album gives some dignity back to hip hop, if you haven't listn to it...then get the bootleg or somethin..quick. Its like one of those albums that takes you back to pre-commerical rap, i think it only has 1 or two radio or club freindly hits. I can tell nas cares more about the music then cash with this album...unlike 80% of rappers.
Heh, get this- Chingy isn't getting signed, it was a rumor, trust me..
G-Unit (As a group) consists of- 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo, & Young Buck
G-Unit Records- The Game & Olivia
But you're right about most rappers.. Nowadays rap is too commercial and it's becoming pop.. 2004 was a very weak year for hip-hop, only albums worth buying were Lloyd Banks, 2Pac, Nas, & Xzibit
You know why I hate Rap and R&B these days? Cause they're not consistant
50 Cent a couple of years ago: "I ain't no Gangsta, I ain't no hitman, me I'm just me"
50 Cent now: "I'm so Gangsta, I'm so Hood" Ugh huh...
Destiny's child before: "I want a man who pays my bills, bills, bills"
Destiny's child a year or two ago: "Independant Women"
Ugh huh... an artist has to have a continous theme or fiber in their music. This kind of xxxx turns me off more than anything else. I used to really like 50, now he's just a bullxxxxter to me, I'd rather listen to Ashlee Simpson than his crap.
I take you haven't heard the other 4-5 albums 50 Cent released before appearing into the mainstream spotlight?
50 Cent's first album was solid and pure classic.. Now he's becoming a pop icon just like Eminem.. 50 Cent and the rest of the rappers nowadays only care about one thing- money.. If they make songs with real lyrics, who'll listen to them? Will they get any radio play? Hell no.. That's why Immortal Technique isn't on the radio or a bunch of other great lyricists.. All 50 Cent needs is a catchy beat and he'll have people hooked.. He'll make more money with cheesy lines.. You think he cares what people think? Hell naw, he's just trying to make money..
Why do you think Eminem's new album sucked? Because he's past the point where he has to prove himself and he's putting out garbage and it STILL becomes number one on charts! His single, "Just Lose It" was crap, but he's proving all you need is a catchy beat..
Yes, he is dead but 2Pac recorded a lot of unreleased tracks before he died.. He recorded about 5-10 tracks/verses daily and all his unreleased work is with his mom.. Eminem asked if he could have the chance to put it together and with her permission he produced the new album..
2Pac will have another album dropping January 31, 2005 titled "Ready To Die", ironicly the same title Notorious B.I.G. used..
2Pac will also have about 4 other albums dropping in 2005 alone
