  • Harout Balyan

A few months ago I found an Armenian mix CD in my car and I liked one of the songs. I didn't know who it belonged to, and neither did anyone in my family because someone had given us that CD, so I brought it up and ripped it onto my computer. A few days ago, my mom told me she found out who sang the song. She didn't remember his CD's name or his last name, but told me his name was Harout. Well, I had that song, "Kez Hamar", has a ringtone on my phone for when family calls. I went to some Armenian music store today and played it for them and asked if they knew who it was. They did. I got his first album, "Sers Kez Lini". I haven't heard it all yet, but it's good so far. I think I'll go back and buy his new album too. Anyone know this singer? Anyone like him?

In Australia we are deprived of Armenian music. I am still listening to old stuff from a few years back which I brought over from Armenia.

awww thanks you're sweet. My aunt is visiting us from Armenia, I have asked her for some cd's. And I'm sure I'll get more when I come to the states.

Only a few years back? I'm still listening to Medieval Music!
What if I find someone else when looking for you? My soul shivers as the idea invades my mind.
