QuickTime is very quick to download and you'll probably need it anyways to watch movie trailers from Apple.com.

Not sure, but I think winamp plays AAC (.m4a) as well.

Try RealPlayer (real.com). I'm confused. You said you do mixing on your comp and yet it doesn't work with QuickTime?

RealPlayer is worse on my computer.

And yes, it doesn't work. Yet I do all my music on this computer.

All I need is Winamp. That's all you need in life.
