"Armenia" was released on the second album of Einstürzende Neubauten in 1983, a German Industrial band and was later used in the soundtrack of Michael Mann's 1995 film "Heat." It includes a (pre-digital) sampling of "Toun en kelkhen imastoun yes."
Sound (spectrum) really matters for Einsturzende Neubauten - as it matters in Contemporary Classical Music; - and Einstürzende Neubauten plays with the thin and fluid boundaries between sound and music - as do other Industrial bands and contemporary classical composers. As a consequence, unfortunately "Armenia" may not be fully appreciated on a computer (sound) system.
"Armenia" may seem a bit "dark and unsettling" but a trained ear may see in it a gem. It is better appreciated loud (enough) and played on a Hi-Fi audio system.
