LOS ANGELES, Calif.—Legendary Armenian singer Paul Baghdadlian passed away on June 28 after a long illness.

Paul Baghdadlian
Paul Baghdadlian is considered one of the most popular Armenian singers throughout the world and has been performing since the 1970s, when he started his career in the Middle East, later broadening his reach to the U.S., Europe and around the world.
He has written and produced hundreds of hit songs, mainly love ballads that have had a unique impact on the lives many Armenians across the globe.
Baghdadlian’s Facebook page was inundated with condolences.
In an interview in Beirut last year, Paul Baghdadlian said that one of the happiest moment for him is when he hears that two Armenians got married after meeting at one of his concerts.

You might've never heard of Paul Baghdadlian, but he's actually been the most popular Armenian singer throughout the world since the 70s, crooning out beloved love ballads that have become a huge part of Armenian culture.
Sadly, the icon has passed on as Paul died today after battling a long illness.
Our condolences go out to his family, friends and fans who will surely miss him.

According to singer Joseph Krikorian, he stated today it was due to cancer. Paul drank a lot, and (i don't know to what degree) also used hard drugs. Such a waste. There's no more Paul. May he rest in peace.Originally posted by KanadaHye View PostComment
