There goes the Honda engine again...

Jenson Button sounded less than enthralled after getting to know BAR's black-and-silver 'concept car' in Barcelona last week. The Englishman, who had an intended switch to Williams thwarted by BAR's legal team earlier in 2004, ground to a halt within a few laps of his run with a Honda engine failure.

"I'm reasonably happy with progress," said the 25-year-old. "We had a few small issues but nothing more than we expected. It felt good to get back in the car after the end of season break."

Honda's engineering director Shuhei Nakamoto, meanwhile, lamented the 2005-spec V10 failure, but said it 'just feels good' to have something new to work on.

I'm not saying that Japanese cars are bad. Although the Honda engine blew, doesn't mean Japan/Toyota don't make good engines. In formula 1 Toyota is one of the few teams who's had 1 engine failure during the whole season of 2004.

My personal preference is Toyota, they are a great company. The german cars, well, they've got too much technology, in which half of doesn't work or breaks down after a while.

There was once a recent example where a Audi was being tested for review, and 5 minutes into the test, all the electronics started going crazy; the window wipers started operating, music tracks kept changing, back boot opened up, anything and everything you can imagine, the car stalled.

Japanese/Toyota cars are much more reliable, that's why they're so popular. German's try to hard.
