  • Dead animal remains on the freeway.

hey speaking of which one day i was driving bak to Fresno from LA and I kept watching all the tire markes going into the medians. Man I could recreate every single accident in my head. And there's one right after each other almost the whole way through the mts.

What about all the other forms of "remains" on Freeways? In Australia we have mainly Kangaroo remains. In fact, because of the drought Kangaroos are moving more and more towards populated areas, I saw a massive eastern grey lying on the side of the road about 5 minutes from my house the other day. It's head was still connected to it's body so the car that hit it must not have been going so fast. I should have stopped to check the pouch but I didn't.
Awww, you're such an animal lover.

I always see dead squirrels and cats on the streets. And sometimes there's no room to swerve so I have no choice but to go over them. It's so sick. Especially in the valley, cats and squirrels everywhere.

Just which "valley" do you live in? I live in the valley too and I dont see any of that. I did hit a huge possum (sp) once on Topanga Canyon Blvd. At the time my car was like 3 inches off of the ground, so the impact at 50mph caused that thing to fly.

I know what you mean. I used to attend L.A. Valley College, the amount of cats on that campus is unbelievable. One time I was driving to class, I saw the car 2 cars ahead of swerve out of the way to avoid a cat who had just been hit. The cat looked like it's back was broken and he was struggling to move. The girl driving the car in front of me didn't notice, so she ran it over! Hah, I saw the girl with her head down, she was crying. She's probably scarred for life.

I cant drive, but I have seen a lot of dead skunks on my way walking to school. There used to be a large population of Squirrels and Skunks here...but they slowly began to decline...so now, there are no Mamals besides humans in my city. If there is, the chances of it staying alive are LOW. Only Lizards and Birds.
