wow - very nice....congratulations of course...still...I wonder at such a gift - first of all your folks must be rich....still not sure that its the right thing - giving such a gift...versus a used car or a Scion or some such. I only hope that you understand the value and how special such a car is - one that most can only aspire to and those who can afford it ussually must work hard for it....and I hope you realize that you can't expect always all the good things in life for free....

Well then One-way - you must be a very good son - so good for you...enjoy the car...take it up in the mountains and carve up some canyon roads! Did they [BMW] tell you to baby it for the first 1200 miles? Revs not over 4000 and speed under 100 etc...Well - I pretty much followed this - but was able to work out the engine in the Alps pretty well - but I have subsequantly heard that BMW really works out the engines prior to delivery and that they are ready to go. Aparently German police due pursuit and such right out of the box with no adverse affects. Concern would be more for mechanicals/connecting stuff - seating itself properly and so forth. Mostly I think its a way the automaker tries to ensure that nothing (less) goes wrong during the initial period of the warrenty...still can't hurt to work your way into the car a bit - though these Bimmers sure like to go and its so very easy...anyway - enjoy!
