My laptops issues are hard to deal with. I've turned to my 'strategy' with my car. I'm nice to the machine hoping to change it. My laptop was screeching. I tried to understand. I did a bunch of stuff and even bought it a new monitor for $5 (don't tell my laptop that, though.) I now can run it, at least.

But what do you call it? Sitting there all the time on your lap, so close to you, what's its secret name.

I don't have a name for my computers, but my daughter named our Jeep. But, the names change weekly, sometimes even hourly: Daisy, Crystal, Princess, etc. Recently, I'd been calling my laptop various names--but not ones that I can't post.

Now that my laptop is acting nice... I'll call it Bell.

When it behaves bad, though-then ...I might say other names.

I do the same with daisy-crystal-?name

I shouldn't 'yell' at these poor machines, I suppose. (Especially if I trust Maya Angelou's view on bad/negative words sticking on things. She kicks people out of her house if they swear or use hostile words... words.)
