  • Which cars are stolen the most?

The National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB®) has compiled a list of the 10 vehicles most frequently reported stolen in the U.S. in 2005.

    1991 Honda Accord
    1995 Honda Civic
    1989 Toyota Camry
    1994 Dodge Caravan
    1994 Nissan Sentra
    1997 Ford F150 Series
    1990 Acura Integra
    1986 Toyota Pickup
    1993 Saturn SL
    2004 Dodge Ram Pickup

Is your car in the list... Take care...

Re: Which cars are stolen the most?

The CCC has a different list. The CCC reports the ten most stolen vehicles for 2005 are as follows:

      1. 2001 BMW M Roadster
      2. 1998 Acura Integra
      3. 2004 Mercury Marauder
      4. 1999 Acura Integra
      5. 1995 Acura Integra
      6. 2002 Audi S4
      7. 1996 Acura Integra
      8. 1997 Acura Integra
      9. 2001 Acura Integra
      10. 2000 Jaguar XJR

      link

I think their method is much better than the NICB's because the NICB just takes the total number into account which would obviously favor the more popular cars. The CCC one takes the rate (i.e. percentages) into account which is a much better indication of what are your chances of having your car stolen

In other words, if you have an Acura, you might want to keep an eye on it. But if you are driving a Honda, don't worry about it so much since there are soooo many of them out there and chances of yours getting stolen is not as high.

Don't worry ... the way things are going, India's TATA motors will own all cars so TATAs will be the most stolen cars (and the only ones) in a few years.
