The senate passed a bill today, which if signed by president Obama, will let the FDA become the regulator of the industry, controlling the amount of nicotene that can be placed into a cigarette, as well as other ingredients. Boxes would have to be labeled with larger warnings and include a list of all its ingredients. There would be a ban on flavored cigarettes, which draw in children. There would also be bans on terminology like, "light," "low tar," and "mild," which could make people believe that they are less harmful or not harmful at all
