Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

    GLENDALE, Calif. (CBS)
A middle-aged man was shot and killed in an Allstate Insurance parking lot in Glendale.
    CBS

Police in Glendale were searching for an armed suspect, who was considered dangerous, after a man was shot and killed in an Allstate Insurance parking lot Wednesday.

The shooting, which was reported at around 11 a.m., happened in the 300 block of Colorado street, just south of the Glendale Galleria, according to police.

When police arrived on scene, they found a victim in a black Lexus SUV with multiple gunshot wounds. Police also said the victim was apparently shot through a closed window.

The suspect reportedly fled on foot.

The homicide marked Glendale's first of the year, according to Sergeant Tom Lorenz, the public information officer for the Glendale Police Department.

The unidentified victim died at the scene.

Umberto Rios, who lives near the crime scene, told KCAL that he saw a blue Ford pull up and watched as a man got out of the vehicle and fired.

"He didn't say anything," Rios said, "Just boom, boom, boom."

Rios also reported that he yelled at the gunman "What are you doing?"

GLENDALE - Authorities today identified a 35-year-old man who was fatally shot in a sport utility vehicle parked across the street from the Glendale Galleria.

Ara Terunyan of North Hollywood was the victim in the shooting, Lt. Larry Dietz of the coroner's office said.

Terunyan, the first homicide victim in Glendale this year, was shot through the closed window of an SUV parked in the 300 block of West Colorado Street about 11 a.m. Wednesday, said Glendale police Sgt. Tom Lorenz.

Umberto Rios, who lives nearby, told KCAL9 that he saw a blue Ford pull up and a man get out of the vehicle.

"He didn't say anything," Rios said. "Just boom, boom, boom."

Rios said he yelled, "What are you doing?" as the suspect sped off from the shooting scene south of the Glendale Galleria.

              Police identify shooting victim

Ara Terunyan died Wednesday prior to doctor's appointment.

GLENDALE — Authorities on Thursday identified the man who was shot to death Wednesday inside his Lexus SUV as Ara Terunyan of North Hollywood.

An autopsy on Terunyan, 35, was being performed Thursday to determine how many times he was shot, said Lt. Brian Elias of the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office.

Terunyan and his wife, whom police officials didn’t identify, were waiting for an appointment Wednesday morning at a doctor’s office in the 300 block of West Colorado Street, Glendale Police Sgt. Tom Lorenz said.

As they waited inside their SUV in a parking lot on Elk Avenue, which is to the rear of the building, an unknown gunman approached and fired numerous shots into the car, killing Terunyan as his wife looked on.

Some witnesses said they heard seven shots. Terunyan’s wife, who wasn’t hit by the gunfire, was found screaming for help, her clothes soiled with her husband’s blood, witnesses said.

Hovik Dadasyan, a Terunyan family friend in Armenia, said the victim’s wife is pregnant, and he had no idea why the bank executive would be targeted.

Dadasyan and Terunyan were listed as being top executives for Ararat Bank, which is based in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, according to a Business Week index.

The pair also worked together at the Central Bank of Armenia, Dadasyan said.

“Detectives do not believe that this was a random act; however, they are not ruling out any motive and are cautious not to jump to any conclusion,” Lorenz said.

Immediately after the shootings, the gunman ran south through the parking lot and got inside a blue, American-made car, Lorenz said.

But Humberto Rios, who saw the shooter and followed the car, described the shooter as being black, 5 feet 10 to 6 feet tall and wearing a blue-striped T-shirt and blue jeans.

Rios drove after the men, who he said escaped on the Golden State (5) Freeway.

Terunyan’s death is Glendale’s first homicide this year. Last year, three homicides occurred in the city, Lorenz said.

Anyone with details about the shooting, suspects or getaway car is asked to call homicide detectives at (818) 548-3987 or the Crime Stoppers Hotline at (818) 507-STOP to leave an anonymous tip, which may lead to a cash reward.

I'm sure there was a reason for him to be targeted in broad daylight.
