  • Earthquakes Today: Earthquake Mexico, Mexicali Earthquake, San Diego Earthquake, Baja

    Earthquakes hit struck along the California and Mexico border today. The areas affected by the quake include Mexico, San Diego and Baja California. The earthquake occurred in Mexico but was felt as far north as LA. Mexico was badly hit in comparison to the California locations affected.

    Causalities confirmed is one dead in Mexico. No reports of further causalities have been confirmed. Data regarding the earthquake is still coming in while what is known of the quake thus far is that the quake hit at a 6.9 magnitude.

    The 6.9 earthquake could be felt as far as Arizona and Baja Mexico. The earthquake reportedly hit as families were gathered for Easter festivities causing panic and chaos.

    The last Mexicali earthquake had an intensity of 7.2 and is the largest one since 1992.

    San Diego felt the effects of the earthquake. Reports of shattered glass has been reported as well as a broken water main in Mission Beach.
